Bringg named in the Supply Chain Convergence, Last-Mile Delivery Solutions, and Carrier/Supplier Appointment Scheduling categories
Chicago – August 4, 2020 – Bringg, the leading delivery and fulfillment orchestration platform provider was recognized in Gartner’s Hype Cycle for Supply Chain Execution Technologies, 2020. The Hype Cycle report covers technologies used to support logistics and fulfillment processes across various industries and geographies. In this most recent Hype Cycle report, Bringg is listed as one of the Sample Vendors in three categories: Last-Mile Delivery Solutions, Supply Chain Convergence, and Carrier/Supplier Appointment Scheduling.
The report states, “supply chain leaders should use this Hype Cycle to understand the maturity, viability and riskiness of various emerging supply chain execution technologies. This will help them understand how these technologies will evolve and how they could help benefit their operations now and in the future.”
According to Gartner, “Last-mile delivery solutions will not only provide benefits to e-commerce companies and other shippers focused on the last mile but can also add incremental benefits to mature users of routing and scheduling, further reducing costs and improving customer service in dynamic environments.”
Offering best-in-class last-mile delivery, service, and return experiences improves conversion rates, purchase activity, and brand loyalty. However, with last-mile delivery estimated to account for 40% of the total supply chain costs, supply chain teams need to focus on operational efficiency driven by automation and optimization.
“Last-mile delivery solutions enable the execution of the last mile, providing real-time communication between routing applications and drivers/vehicles to track their activities and locations and, when necessary, to reroute them in transit while on the go. These solutions are the next generation of delivery solutions, and mainly focused on last-mile deliveries to businesses and consumers, adding additional capabilities such as customer experience management,” cited Gartner.
“With the rise of ecommerce and digital business, especially in our present COVID-embattled market, last-mile has proven to be an even more crucial part of the customer experience and business strategy,” said Guy Bloch, CEO of Bringg. “We have seen over a decade of growth in supply chain demand in just the last few months. Retailers and their logistics partners now recognize that their logistics will define how their customers experience their brand. The difference between success and failure will depend on their ability to adapt to meet the new and changing market expectations.”
